Tibounchina heteromalla is an upright, tropical, evergreen shrub with incredible velvety silver-green foliage with silver undersides. It blooms deep purple flowers in summer & fall that appear on long spikes. Each flower spike is adorned with many blooms & can reach 18" in height. It is a very ornamental plant thanks to its showy flowers that last several months & awesome silver foliage.
