3 GALLON JUNIPER 'GREY OWL'
Juniperus virginiana 'Grey Owl'
This fast & low growing blue shrub is an excellent addition to any landscape! The blue foliage will brighten any garden. With a compact & wide spreading growth habit, this tree will take on a number of unique shapes naturally or with the use of pruners.
It's branches are covered with soft & dusty silver-gray scale like foliage. It produces dark purpleish blue berry like cones. These cones are covered with a white wax, which turns them into a silvery gray color. Birds feast on the juniper berries during winter, especially Cedar Waxwings. Slow growing & long living, this tree will provide year round structure to any garden.
Apart from being low maintenance, this Juniper is pest & disease tolerant. It's also drought & heat tolerant! This beauty loves full sun, so don't worry about it surviving summer heat.
